I did my patriotic duty yesterday – I showed up for Jury duty… As I’d kind’a missed the previous couple of summons, they seemed to be gettin’ more serious with the third one, so I figured maybe I’d better be present an’ accounted for this time… Turned out the Lady in line, in front of me, had been ignoring summons since 2010 – made me feel such a wimp for knuckling under so soon!!
However there were only about 8 of us – not enough to make up a whole jury – but turned out they didn’t really need us – they just wanted us to show up so that they could give us each a green scrap of paper an’ validate our parking stubs, then tell us to scram… It makes me sooo proud to be a citizen!!
But now it’s over and they won’t bother you again for a whole year, or within a month like they did me even after I served for several weeks on a jury.
Over the years, I’ve only served on one jury – Usually I’m quickly eliminated – though on that particular day, I think the judge was badly hung over, or perhaps he was just miffed over my having worn a “Hang ’em High” T-Shirt to the courthouse…
So are those ears attached? They look like they are on some sort of hair appliance? Don’t know my cosplay terminology… I guess I’m asking if she can take them off or not? Maybe she’s like the T-1000 and just simulates clothes and hats and things.
it was but at the same time they have crazy alien technology so they could have made it a biological portion of her body that merely LOOKS like a costume.
For anyone who’s wondering, she is NOT Nude! Bunz can change her clothing, and she will in the future wear different outfits… They may have “Crazy Alien Tech” but without a coherent understanding of the situation… Well, it get’s a li’l iffy…
I enjoyed my last jury duty – we totally kept this jerk from weaseling out of his tax assessment.
These strips remind me of the good ole days of Army Surplus Comics – must dig out my copies.

Yeah, Bunz is taking it better than expected… mainly because the fuze hasn’t burned down to the powder yet…

Uh… The ears are part of her costume – I’d sort’a thought that was more or less obvious… Guess not…
