Seems I’m runnin’ a bit behind on the next page – workin’ on the calendar as well – so thought I’d post this bit of nonsense that I cooked up a while back…
I was going to say it seems a might steep but that’s beside the point – I find the product was short sold. It is also good for the blahs, blues, dumps, melancholy and the vapors. For the price of a few minutes time you get chuckles, chortles, grins, giggles and, if used properly, the occasional guffaw. All while enjoying the company and comments of like minded individuals. Like minded individuals you say? Well certainly brother, we all like Bunz & Katz.
(I don’t pen these little paeans to the works of JQ for free. At the end of the month he mails me a coupon for 5 cents off on a Snickers bar.)
Well that’s a surprise to me – I can’t recall ever having heard of the comic… I tried googling around to see what the character looked like – is “Leeds” the lizard sort of thing with the bat wings? If so, doesn’t look at all like Katz…
If Katz was based on any character, his initial design was sort of Muppetish (a ball split for the mouth, like Ralph the Dog’s head) Though in personality, maybe a li’l like Froggy the Gremlin (from the old Smilin’ Ed show) Katz kind’a has Froggy’s style feets – though Froggy was really much nastier than Katz – however they both can be surprisingly dangerous…
Look at the tvtropes page for castle waiting to find a reference to Leeds as an “affably evil” trope. I finally found a sketch on a deviantart page but have not been able to find a real picture. Leeds is shown as a fox/human head with no body, just legs. If you like gentle fantasy / retelling of fairy tales, the comic is well worth your time.
My apologies to anyone lookin’ for the next B&K page – I’ve been runnin’ a bit slow lately – but hope to have the page ready within’ a day or two – then I need to get the Dec calendar finished as well… Whoof!

Well, it’s priced right.

Eh… I’m a li’l short this month – would’ja settle for a used bus token?
Bless you sir.
Ha! I finally figured out who Katz reminds me of – Leeds, the demonic familiar in the excellent Castle Waiting comic. Snarky comments and all!

He’s a bit like the Purple Puffle, that semi-mythological creature who only exists some of the time.
Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy
I always get a double take when I loudly proclaim “Its a bargain at half the price!”
