Perhaps as a farmer might be a little worried about an invasion of locusts? Loud, obnoxious, insatiable locusts who wore long red neckties and bleated incessantly, “All your crop are belong to us?”
Note* I typed this out last year (2018) so the casualty numbers on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are higher yet…
Once again it’s Sept.11th, the day when we Americans can all wallow in public angst over 9/11… But just to put this day into perspective, let’s look at the numbers: On 9/11, when the towers fell, some 2,996 people died and more than 6,000 others were injured… Now this enabled Bush and Cheney to Lie the US into two pointless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan… Some 17 years later the casualties are still mounting – while to date, (2018) more than 4,486 U.S. soldiers and other military have died in Iraq and 2,345 in Afghanistan, with an additional one million wounded in both wars… The cost? a mere trifle at over 6 trillion dollars… (note* these numbers do not include allies or the approximately 210,000 civilians – that’s Two Hundred and Ten Thousand Civilians killed!)
At the VA Hospital you see many young men & Women with various grievous injuries, such as arms and legs missing or paralyzed – all part of that “One Million Wounded” from wars promoted by the Bush & Cheney Chicken-Hawks…
