Rendezvous Pg296
Having finished with the Fan-Tastic #2 pages, seems we’re back to the Bunz & Katz continuity as they rendezvous with the U-115 and the Greenland berg (somehow unmelted, we’ll learn more about that later) However, for now, Katz has a different sceme up his sleeve – that is, if he had sleeves…
Ah yes, Kapitan Von Krakkt is still planning “der ineffitable double-cross…” but of course, Bunz is planning the same, so what will be the result when their respective plots collide? A “fourple-cross,” perhaps? I will eat a piece of cheese, and wait with bated breath…
Let me see, Krakkt is hatching an evil plan, and so too are Bunz and Katz. Very soon the sea will be littered with eggshells as two gigantic evil plans swim off into the sunset, tentacle in tentacle…
Actually it’s mostly Bunz’ duplicitous plan, which she probably hasn’t worked out yet – she’ll just muddle it out when the time comes… While Katz has been much more involved in making things work without Bunz’ input, which would likely just bolux up the whole deal…
As for Krakkt, it’s just SOP for the genre, for him to have a double-cross in mind, to use when the situation seems opportune…
Al shouts angrily at Bunz: “Hey! We was drawn FIRST”, while Al gasps and crys out: “Al! She’s got a bazooka!”
Hey itty-bitty BEM-lady! We happen to like those little sidebar trips down memory lane so put a sock in it! Sheesh. Some people! And there she is with her very own currently running strip and all. No respect for her elders. Kids these days. Mutter, grumble…
I ease my mind by hitting it with a brick! Try it, oooOOooo that is brain numbing!
Bunz and Katz want to destroy everything. The U-boat captain came from a time of serious destruction, on a global scale. He might want a much better ending for himself and his crew. With an armada coming to do a wipe out with their superior weapons the odds don’t look good. But … the U-boat captain knows how to fight. So … we’ll see.
Although, what is likely to be the reaction of the young commander of a Coast Guard cutter when he encounters a rusty, old, but still functional WWII U-Boat, towing an iceberg into California waters? Probably he’d tell his subordinates he’d gone bonkers, and order them to confine him to quarters and return to port… and if they told him they all saw the same thing?
Have agree with Bunz on this one. That was enough gopher bums for a while, thank goodness they were in their flight suits. Al’s bum is cute but Al’s bum is so squeezable and fluffy.
We’re back to the Bunz and Katz Comix time, thanks!
