QT Prime Pg2
And now for page #2 of the first Cutey Bunny story to see print , (Not the best plot I’ve ever written)… the final gag is dependent upon knowing that Ronald Reagan, a senile old coot, who at the time, was doing president impressions (while also being up to his turkey neck in, Iran-Scam) had been in a former career, a B-actor, featured in such forgettable flix as “Bedtime for Bonzo,” “Girls on Probation,” “Hellcats of the Navy,” …Not to mention that late-night TV “classic”, “Bonzo goes to college,” where at times, it can be somewhat difficult to tell the Chimp from the Chump…
How to tell the “Chimp from the Chump”? Reagan was the tall one…
Oh my God. A heretofore unseen Cutey Bunny comic from 1981. My month, possibly my year, is made. Thanks Josh, thanks for the memories. Now i have some new old ones… er, old new ones… some new old stuff to remember.
PS: Keep the B&K coming. The show must go on.
Absolutely. Bill. We can’t get too much bunnycake, particularly the hard-to-find stuff. Although, of course, we also still need to follow the nefarious noodnik blunderings of our Space Alien Invaders, who will become classic in their own turn…
Printed out on acid-free, matte photograph paper and then lovingly, with great and solemn ceremony, filed away with CB #1. (While Buddhist monks chanted a prayer to Ozama Tezuka, the god of comics, on YouTube and yours truly slurped sake befitting the occasion.)
Considering the high acid content in the newsprint of the first two issues, your prints should last much longer than the comics!
Lets see… Master Criminal Gelving Shavinsky gets flattened by Cutey, only to find he’s the comic relief in a two pager, and won’t even get to go home with Cutey and Vickey for a little low cal souffle.
NO WONDER he became such a bitter human type being…
I kinda doubt that anyone will ever invite Gelving over…
So as no one invites Gelving to Bunz and Katz!
I hadn’t really thought about it, but as Gelving is more or less human, there’s nothing to prevent him from appearing in B&K, except for a story idea…
