My apologies for the filler Strip – just have got a bunged up hand, so have been working slower than my normal protracted pace…
I do realize that the beginning of a new chapter is not the best place for a filler strip – but don’t lose hope – do not worry, do not scream an’ do not scurry – next time we should have the real page here…

No I didn’t.
(yes you did)
I said “no comment.”

…….
(I heard that, and same to you buddy!)
From your calendar, Katz makes a wonderful reminder of Sputnik-1. The start of a space adventure. The Soviets planned for a more complex device, but couldn’t, at the time get their rockets to lift the much heavier payloads. But the light weight, super simple, and very dependable Sputnik-1 payload was perfect. And being super simple, seemingly so, generated much speculation about its real mission. Surely it was doing much more than broadcasting simple and very haunting “beep, beep beeps”.
I love Bunz’s gawky pose when nonplussed. Such whimsical body language, in which every little nuance of posture, every subtle change in facial expression, conveys such deep meaning and emotion!
(I’m talking about panel 6 above, obviously).

Their new look is…slimming.

Hey diddle diddle
see Bunz with her vittles
the kat jumped over her moon.
The onliners oggled to see such shorts,
and butt-floss with a racy bandeau.

‘You get paid?’ that was a great line from Street Fighter!
