This is the first real update since my old iMac went Ker-Flooy! My apologies for the delay, though the next few pages shouldn’t take so long… I hope!! Am currently workin’ on the August Calendar, which features the Green Bunnies Io & Callisto…
Perhaps some old Macs do – while others get rather surly an’ peevish about it…
My own efforts to resurrect my old machine have resulted in, Instead of locking up after booting to the desktop, it now only boots to a White screen… (Not exactly an improvement) Though it still runs more or less okay in “Safe Mode”… About the only thing that I haven’t done yet, is erasing the hard drive partition and reinstalling the system… I’ve been loath to do this because of the hassle of reinstalling all the applications – but seems I’ve nothing else to try…
Hmmmm, Interesting… I hadn’t thought of Googling “Sierra Hotel” – though I kind’a doubt that Bunz thinks her box is “Excellent”… I actually labeled the box for a different somewhat more whimsical reason…
Well, I was sort’a waiting to see if anyone else might put in their 2¢ worth – but seems that’s not going to happen… the Actual reason the box is labeled “Sierra Hotel” may be somewhat anticlimactic…
When I was stationed at Yuma, the Squadron next door was VMFAT 101 the training squadron for F4 Phantom Phliers (today they fly F18 Hornets) anyway their call sign letters are “SH” pronounced in military radio speak as “Sierra Hotel” – so as we’re on Page 101, seemed a fun bit to label B&K’s box hovel as Sierra Hotel… That’s all there was to it…
For whatever it’s worth – The next B&K page is still in pencils… I spent the weekend workin’ on the August Calendar, which sort’a kind’a celebrates the return (once again) of Art Bell to late night broadcasting…
It also features Io & Callisto the green alien bunnies – if you click on their saucer, it should take you to the calendar download page… (Don’t fret, it’s all free)…
Though in this case, Bob was correct, On the Saucer, it really is short for “Foo Fighter”… Originally their Saucer was simply labeled “UFO” a gag I “Borrowed” from Akira Toriyama… Sometime later, I think it was for the calendar where they buzzed a Lancaster bomber stream, I added the “Foo” to the tail engine module, as this was a WWII era pix…
I’ve uploaded an updated version of the Art Bell Calendar, (early in the AM of Thurs. the 6th) It now has a much better lookin’ desert plus a few other small tweaks… so please update, if you have an older version…

Ah, you’re back with the narrative. I’ll be back as soon as I think of some snide thing to say.
Foolish metalic, slave-droid! Come not between the Nega Bitch and her junk food fix. (Or she’ll give you SUCH a smack!)
Bravo Zulu on their new digs. đŸ˜‰
Do old Macs go “ker-flooy”? I just thought that they peacefully ascended into heaven in the bright light and angelic choir music.

By the way – from your “Bravo Zulu”, Did you noodle out why their new box is named “Sierra Hotel”?
It’s a rather cryptic military reference – Which I didn’t expect anyone to Grok…
I figured you were being all cryptic and stuff so I Googled it. Sierra Hotel was just too off the wall to be accidental.

You’re going to make me ask aren’t you?

Ah, Katz, the ever-faithful henchbot… so dedicated… so loyal… so single-minded… so ravenous…
Katz has quite a mouth on him.
Katz is a flexible dude.
Katz has an appetite that puts Galactus to shame.

I like the “foo” on the back of the craft—brings back nostalgia for what they called UFOs before they called them UFOs…
Actually, “FOO” was the license plate number on Smokey Stover’s Foomobile, a one-wheeled vehicle in the revered classic comic strip…
But Smokey Stover and his (single-axeled) Foomobile WAS the origin of the WWII term “Foo Fighter”.
Until a few minutes ago I had always thought that it was a form of bad French used by Americans who were deliberately mispronouncing “Faux”.
